• Increased the frequency and volume of the ambient mob sounds made during raids, to make them easier to locate

• The 'Store' button on the main menu has been renamed to 'Marketplace'
• Realm owners can now set relevant permissions for players invited to their Realm
  • Default settings can be set for all new members entering a Realm
  • The owner can set permissions for an invited player to either visitor, member or operator
  • When resetting a world, or uploading a new world, already set permissions stay in place

There's been a lot (and we mean a lot) of fixes in this update, so to keep it simple, we're listing the most important ones below:

• Crashes:
  • Fixed several crashes that could occur:
    • During gameplay
    • When launching the game on some Windows 10 devices
    • When certain interactive blocks are loading in when joining a Realm
    • When switching players on Xbox One
    • When loading the game
    • When saving or loading on Nintendo Switch
    • When the game was checking for previously downloaded content
• Performance:
  • Improved chunk loading in multiplayer
  • Significantly reduced bandwidth usage by allowing the client to reuse chunks
  • Several other performance improvements, including some related to mob AI pathfinding
  • Endermen teleporting particles no longer cause consistent performance drops, especially during boss fights
  • Reduced the amount of memory required to load textures
• General:
  • Removed an unnecessary Xbox Live sign-in notification
  • The Hagger achievement once again unlocks upon meeting requirements
  • Marketplace resource packs are now immediately applied after downloading in the world edit menu
  • Custom skins are now applied correctly without needing to restart the game to see them
• Gameplay:
  • Villager trading now properly takes away items from the second slot, when applicable
  • Players no longer clip through walls when transitioning from swimming to standing in water
  • Players that are being healed can now still be knocked back by TNT
  • Arrows shot into blocks now keep their position when reloading the world

The traditional second branch 1.12 is open! As usual without warnings and major announcements, Mojang has released a new version. It does not have a clear name and does not refer to the next update after the Village & Pillage Update. Minecraft PE 1.12 is a continuation of 1.11 and finishes its development. But before you go to it, you should know that it is aimed at addons and addon-makers, there are no global changes related to gameplay.

Addons are now like mods:

Everyone has been waiting for this for a long time and finally the developers have introduced the first version of smart add-ons with wide capabilities. The main feature of MCPE 1.12 is the fact that now any addon-maker can add his own unique block or item, similar to what is implemented in BlockLauncher or Inner Core or any other mod.
This means that soon we will see large-scale addons that add tons of new content without using third-party launchers. It is quite clear that at the moment Minecraft BE 1.12 add-ons will not be able to compete with mods as many features are still in development. But anyway, this update laid the foundation for creating a completely new game content capable of completely changing the game.
